Patch 5.2 and End of Season 12 Scheduled for March 5th, Updated 5.2 PTR Patch Notes
2013-02-19 в 19:26
Blizzard just posted that the Season 12 Arena Season is ending on March 5th. Bashiok
that the End of the Season PvP Blog is a rough two-week warning for Patch 5.2 hitting.
Arena and Rated Battleground Season 12 is scheduled to end on Tuesday, March 5. At that point, we will determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards, a process that should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for Arena titles and/or the
to refrain from transferring their characters to another realm or faction until after Season 12 ends. The awarding of Season 12 titles and mounts will occur approximately 2 weeks after the season ends.
At the end of the season,
will be converted to
and any honor above 4000 will be converted to gold at a rate of 35 silver per point. The honor cap will remain at 4000.
All Season 12 items will cost
(equivalent to their previous
cost) when the season ends, with the exception of any items with rating requirements attached.
5.2 PTR - Build 16597 - Spell Changes and More

Blizzard is following up their
early-morning BlizzCon 2013 announcement
with a new PTR build!

New reputation capes were added. These are currently ilvl 496 rares instead of epics, so perhaps the items are still being tweaked. Remember,
Blizzard made a post last week
stating that some
rewards will cost
instead of gold as initially planned, so don't jump to conclusions about the price:
now reduces the cooldown of your Thunder Focus Tea by 5 sec, down from 10 seconds.

Loot Improvements Coming to LFR Satchels

News Round Up: Updated 5.2 Patch Notes, Preparing for PvP in 5.2, Blizzard Store Sale
2013-02-13 в 08:05
Blizzard just posted a very useful PvP blog for 5.2 preparations, reminding users of these important changes:
Rating requirements will be removed from PvP gear.
Malevolent Gladiator’s gear will be available for purchase with Honor Points.
A new tier of Conquest Point gear will be added that becomes available once 27000 Conquest Points have been earned for the season.
Currently, users can choose between upgrading some Malevolent Gladiator items while you still can with Conquest Points, or saving up and buying the 5.2 versions with Honor as soon as the patch hits. Unlike yesterday's blog
covering how Valor Points won't be downgraded to Justice
, Conquest Points will be downgraded to Honor when 5.2 starts.
There's also been some class changes from February 11th, that were posted to the EU forums this morning.
Finally, there's a huge Blizzard sale going on--all World of Warcraft games are 70% off!

5.2 Update: You Can Keep Your Valor!
2013-02-12 в 21:56
Based on user feedback,
are now staying put when 5.2 launches! You'll be able to save up your

without converting the costs of reputation items to Justice Points.
Another change is that the
will have epic ilvl 496 rewards that will also cost
. While it was intended for these factions to not have any
rewards at first, the few items offered should help non-raiders out in 5.2.
And finally, there's some speculation that the patch has been slightly pushed back from late February with the statement that "even if you have 0
currently, you still have enough time to cap out at 3000
before patch 5.2 goes live."
After reading your feedback and locking ourselves in dim, florescent-lit rooms for much deliberation, we have decided that we are NOT going to convert
to Justice and Justice to gold when 5.2 ships. Current Valor items will continue to requ

Legendary Questline: No New Sha-Touched Weapon, 5.2 Changes
2013-02-12 в 11:06
Community Manager Nethaera just posted a blog previewing the legendary questline and clarifying some questions users had on the fate of Sha-Touched weapons. Of particular note:
is the reward for completing the 5.2 part of the chain. Datamined legendary metagems are:
: +324 Crit & Chance on striking with a melee attack to gain Capacitance. When Capacitance reaches X charges, you will deal a Lightning Strike to your current target for 100 Nature damage. (
: +324 Int & Chance on casting a helpful spell to make your next spell cost no mana (
: +324 Stamina & Chance on being hit by a melee attack to gain a 20% reduction to physical damage taken for 15 sec (
: +324 Crit & Chance on dealing spell damage to gain 30% spell haste for 10 sec (
Sha-Touched Weapons will not be available in the new Raid tier but will still be available from previous Raids.

Patch 5.2 Targeted Release Date: Last Week of February
2013-02-11 в 11:14
Community Manager Bashiok just posted a lengthy blog previewing Patch 5.2. Of special note:
Currently, Patch 5.2 is intended to launch the last week of February. A new quest phase is being tested on February 22nd, so don't expect to see it earlier than that. This means that time is running out on upgrading items--
can go a long way for alts--or getting those Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge achievements like
The new raid will follow a staggered release similar to that of Tier 14, where LFR is broken up into different sections and Heroic difficulty is available once Normal is defeated.
Valor Points are being reset to Justice Points, but current Valor Point gear is simply having reduced costs.
As an added incentive for 25-player raiding,
items will have a higher chance to drop in this raid format. These items are +6 ilvls above that of the expected drops.
Item Upgrades will not be available in 5.2.
New Tier 15 and Season 13 epics are available from raiding and PvP.
