Sounds like a decent idea if they also forfeit the run if someone zones out (as long as a disconnect doesn't also trigger that) like someone suggested earlier in the thread.
ITT: Why I don't do mythic + content. I was able to squeak into a single +15 for the achievement on my main and thats it. The idea of keeping multiple pieces of gear in my bags is astounding to me, and I'm perfectly ok admitting that this is content I'll never do or see again.
You are not able to switch talents in m+ and people still have fun. I reckon it will be the same without gearswapping

So, now instead of making a set of gear for every conceivable encounter in the dungeon, you will have to think whether you want to have focus on single-target or AoE or whatever else? How is this a problem? It involves about the same amount of theory-crafting and eliminates the annoying aspect of having to go through your equipment before every pull.
Funny everyone crying about gear swaping lock (i dont care honestly, it is stopping some abusing)And noone care about 4 affixes? (probably 4th starting on 10+) This is really retarded :o
I can see this affecting people that min/max and push keys to their absolute limit, but I don't see it doing much to a majority of the population, especially if balancing is even halfway decent.Tank threat, however.RIP PuGs.
Maybe I'm jaded, but I'd be surprised if more than 1% of the people complaining about losing player choice ever did anything other than running sims to tell them what to do. *shrug* Honestly seems like you make more actual choices now depending on your group comp and tactics. Now you need to balance AoE vs Single Target DPS in your team instead of everyone just switching to their highest simmed per encounter.Of course, I'm sure players will find a way to automate this too.
The only way this works is if they nerf or buff more specs. It's not a balanced situation when some have to choose talents/traits/trinkets to have functional aoe or defensives and others don't.At least in Legion you could overcome some spec handicaps with some gear swaps.
glad i already got all classes the KSM achivement, don't have to worry about +15 next expansion.
This is all just bad... not only are they kerp adding GROUND mounts as achievement rewards but now destroying M+I was so happy for this expansion at the beginning. Not any more.
My guild does not do M+ competitive runs. But some of us do switch gear within dungeons. This isn’t done so much to improve our time as to compensate for sub-optimal group composition. Not having a strong AOE spec in the group can be very painful in some dungeons. And sometimes we just want to use that cool specialized trinket that normally just eats bag space.
Next Update:- Warlock Summoning Portals are disabled in M+ dungeons. After the countdown has finished and the timer starts in any Mythic+ dungeon, Warlocks can not cast Summoning Portal.PS:- We always listen to players' feedback and implement things that bring fun and joy to this great online "game". Another change that caters to the garbage players that don't want to put any effort into the game.Zero reward or incentive for players to work gathering more gear sets.
