Term or Abrreviation

Definition or Description

Aff

Refers to any of the old level 30 affinity talents: Родство с балансом, Родство с силой зверя, Родство со стражем. Despite these talents not existing anymore, these terms are still often used to describe the manner of play.

Aggro

Short for aggression, but typically referring to the amount of threat you're generating on an enemy NPC. As a Resto Druid, we tend to generate the most Aggro of any healer due to the large number of HoTs we have out at any given time. Enemies will likely focus on us unless damaged by a DPS or Tank.

AoE

Area of Effect, typically referring to an ability that hits more than one target.

Aquatic (Water/Whale Form)

Водный облик: Naturally a part of Походный облик when you enter water.

The Necrolord covenant ability Адаптивный рой for Druids in Shadowlands.

BREZ or BRES (Battle Resurrection)

Возрождение: Your in-combat battle resurrection ability allowing you to return someone back to life while in the midst of battle. Can make the ability instant with Природная стремительность in Shadowlands.

Bark (IB)

Железная кора: Defensive cooldown that can be applied to any allied player including yourself.

Bark

Дубовая кожа: Personal defensive cooldown for Resto Druids.

Bear

Облик медведя: A druid form that acts as an on-demand personal defensive cooldown as well as access to some bear abilities.

Bearweaving

Doing extra damage in Облик медведя while still playing Resto Druid. Not commonly used in Shadowlands / Dragonflight.

Cooldown, referring to the time before an ability is able to be used again.

Щит Кенария: Level 15 talent with a moderate cooldown providing a large single target HoT.

Cat

Облик кошки: A druid form that innately increases our movement speed and grants access to some cat abilities.

Catweaving (Kittyweaving)

Doing extra damage in Облик кошки with Родство с силой зверя while still playing Resto Druid.

Convoke

A very strong talent in Dragonflight. Formerly a Covenant ability.

Cult

Проращивание: Additional HoT applied to lower health players with a Rejuv or Germination buff on them. Talent.

Dispel

Природный целитель: Dispel allowing you to remove a Magic, Curse, or Poison debuff from an ally player.

Efflo

Период цветения: Your ground based healing effect.

Extend

Расцвет: Talent that extends the duration and increases the frequency of HoT ticks.

Germ

Зарождение: Capstone talent that allows you to apply an additional Омоложение to allies.

HPM

Healing per Mana, referring to how efficient a healing spell is in regards how much healing a spell does compared to the resource (usually mana) is needed to cast it.

HPS

Healing per Second, referring to the amount of healing an ability will do per second. Also a metric for how strong an ability is or a metric to determine how much healing a healer is outputting.

HoT

Any of your many Healing over Time abilities, such as Омоложение or Зарождение.

HotW or Heart

Сердце дикой природы: Class capstone talent that you can use as a nice damage or survivability cooldown.

IP or 2min Tranq

Внутренняя гармония: Resto spec talent that reduces the cooldown of Спокойствие to 2 minutes.

Knockback

Тайфун: Crowd Control ability to keep things slow and in place or to knock things off cliffs.

LB or Bloom

Жизнецвет: A HoT typically applied to a tank or player taking constant damage (or ourselves with Фотосинтез) where Bloom refers to the large healing amount applied when the HoT expires.

Mass Rez or Mass Res

Ободрение: Your large group out of combat resurrection ability.

Mass Root

Массовое оплетение: Mass Crowd Control effect that forces multiple targets to stay at their current location. Beware, targets that are rooted can still attack and typically attack players nearby instead of respecting an aggro table.

Mastery or Mastery Stack

Refers to abilities that provide additional stacks of Искусность: гармония.

Природная стремительность: Rmergency single target healing/utility cooldown. Talent.

Буйство природы: Resto spec talent with a moderate cooldown that provides quick application of nearly all HoTs to a single target.

OOM or OoM

Out of Mana, when a healer is completely tapped for mana and is running on just standard mana regeneration to output healing.

OoC

Знамение ясности: Passive that when Жизнецвет heals, you have a chance to make Восстановление a resource free cast.

Owlweaving (Chickenweaving)

Doing extra damage in Облик лунного совуха while still playing Restoration Druid.

Photo or PS

Фотосинтез: Spec Capstone talent that increases throughput based on the target of your Жизнецвет.

Rejuv (Rj)

Омоложение: The bread and butter of the Resto Druid healing kit.

Resto (RDruid)

Abbreviation for Resto Druids.

Roar

Тревожный рев: New baseline raid-wide movement ability for Restoration Druids in Shadowlands.

Root

Гнев деревьев: Crowd Control effect that forces a target to stay at their current location. Beware, targets that are rooted can still attack and typically attack players nearby instead of respecting an aggro table.

Весенние цветы: Talent that lets Период цветения apply a small hot to everyone it heals.

Быстрое восстановление: Short cooldown single target heal that also consumes a heal over time effect.

SOTF or SotF

Душа леса: Talent that causes your next spell to do a lot more healing after Swiftmending.

Sprint

Порыв or Рывок тигра: One of your primary movement speed increasing abilities.

Stealth

Крадущийся зверь: The ability druids use in Облик кошки to stealth allowing us to move closer to enemies without entering combat. Be careful as some mobs can detect stealthed players.

Stun

Мощное оглушение: Crowd Control ability to stun an enemy. Melee range required.

Taunt

Рык: It's possible to taunt a mob out by going into Облик медведя and using Рык.

Tranq or TQ

Спокойствие: Your enormous raid healing cooldown. Complete with HoT and stationary casting in BFA.

Tree (Tree of Life, Incarn, ToL)

Воплощение: древо жизни: Talent that turns you into a Tree for 30s with greatly empowered healing abilities.

Vate

Озарение: Ability that lets you or another healer cast for free. Now available to all Druid specs through a talent.

Vortex

Вихрь Урсола: An ability to keep targets slowed and in the same area for a short amount of time.

Буйный рост: Short CD AoE healing ability.

Wrath

Гнев: Our primary damaging filler that has no mana cost.

Дар Изеры: A passive baseline ability that heals you or an injured ally nearby (if you're full health).
