Dear Wowhead... (Episode 7)

Welcome back, dear readers! My sincere thanks for the flood of letters I received this week. I'm looking forward to answering as many as I can!
Dear Wowhead,
My father lost his job and we moved to Kharanos in Dun Morogh where he found a job as an engineer. Normally this is a good thing, but I'm a human and all the Dwarves and Gnomes live there. I also have to go to a previously all dwarf and gnome private school so I can take classes in engineering.
I always get picked on in class, the gnomes keep calling me tall and the dwarves always call me sober. The lunches there are disgusting, they serve Darkmoon Special Reserve Surprise Monday - Thursday, and we have Mechanical Squirrel Soup Fridays. I just can't fit in at this school. I need your help!!!!
Signed,
Lonely in Kharanos
Dear Lonely,
Transferring to a new school is always hard! This is especially true when you transfer to a school where you don't know anyone. I've been to Kharanos myself, and I found the school—and the food—to be...less than pleasant. Don't get me wrong, I have friends who are dwarves! It's just...not my style.
Now that having been said, there are always other ways. Have you spoken to your parents?
Ironforge
may not be the most...cultured of cities, but it's a far cry from Kharanos, and it's just a short walk up north (as long as you don't mind the hike). I understand there's an excellent Academy in Ironforge, owned and operated
Grand Mason Marblesten
of the Royal Stonecutter's Union. And you can always hop on the Deeprun Tram for a quick trip up to Stormwind to see your friends. It's a little expensive, but I understand you can apply for a scholarship at the Ironforge Visitor's Center.
Best of luck, and remember—your education is what you make of it!
Thanks a ton for all the submissions, guys! Don't forget—I try to answer ones that are short, written in-character, and at least a
little
funny. If you have regular advice type questions, maybe I'm going to have to start another column. :P
