How to Upgrade Legendaries to Rank 7 in Patch 9.2: Eternity's End

Patch 9.2 is getting closer to a release date, and along with the new activities, locations, and class changes, players will be able to upgrade their legendaries to Rank 7. We've been busy looking at the PTR to find out exactly what players will need to upgrade their legendaries, from the new

Materials Needed to Upgrade to Rank 7
Legendary items can be upgraded to item level 291 at Rank 7 in Patch 9.2, although they require slightly different materials than previous upgrades. To go from Rank 6 to Rank 7, you'll need:

How to Get Cosmic Flux
Upgrading from a Rank 6 to Rank 7 Legendary requires only 2,000

Unlike the previously used reagents, Cosmic Flux can be obtained by participating in a myriad of activities such as participating in Zereth Mortis, Mythic+, Arenas or other content.

How to Get a Rank 7 Base Item
Rank 7 Base Items are created the same way as other base items, along with a
optional reagent, which increases a crafted base by 3 ranks - crafting a Rank 3 base with the optional reagent results in Rank 6, and crafting a Rank 4 base with the optional reagent creates a Rank 7.

from Patch 9.1, and in order to learn the pattern, you will ALSO need to reach Honored reputation with
. Considering Chapter 5 of the 9.1 should be released on Week 3 of Patch 9.2, you will have 2 weeks of Patch 9.2 to earn Honored.
The reputation requirement means you'll need to do some questing before the new legendary bases can be crafted, and you'll need to complete a campaign quest step to actually earn the recipe, Also keep in mind that the Vestiges and Progenitor Essentia are only needed if you are crafting legendary bases yourself. The Rank 7 bases
can be bought and sold on the Auction House
, so you can still opt to skip the crafting and purchase one instead. Someone will still have to get the reputation and collect the crystals, just not you!
Although the in-game interface does say you can purchase the Tome of the Eternal recipe from the Enlightened vendor, the Pattern is currently not on the vendor as of the latest PTR build - Even if you have already completed the questline leading to the recipe.
Vestige of the Eternal
Creating a Vestige requires 2
, obtainable from a variety of activities in Zereth Mortis, such as the
bi-weekly quest, gathering and looting treasures in Zereth Mortis. Gathering and looting treasures in Zereth Mortis with the
buff from Genesii Jiros will increase your chances of obtaining Progenitor Essentia.

Full Requirements for Legendary Crafting
Along with the appropriate base, you will need 2,000
to craft a Rank 7 Legendary. Like previous legendary upgrades, you can skip stages and craft or upgrade to the desired Rank with the correct amount of currency - the chart below shows the
TOTAL amount of currency needed
to craft a Legendary of at each rank. If you are upgrading from a lower rank, you'll be able to subtract any currency that you've already paid, because you've already paid it.
