I don't really understand how people get so addicted specifically to wow that it screws with their lives... I mean if you're that bad about wow won't you be that bad about other games or tv or just not doing your work in general?Like for instance, my gf will get mad at me and say I am ignoring her and playing too much wow. But I haven't played wow for about two weeks now and guess what? She's still mad at me and says I ignore her lol. The truth is I do, because I only feel the need/desire for so much time spent with her, and she has a higher need/desire. Wow is not to blame here.Really I think the majority of these people addicted to wow to the point that it makes them neglect their duties or friends/whatever are just lazy/apathetic and want to neglect those things anyway.
I don't understand why people get so addicted to WoW. It IS a great game but it's also just a game... you can just press "Alt+f4" and it's gone and you're back in the real world. I can leave WoW whenever I want and I Already did(i'm currently not playing wow, focusing on School and other Hobbies (such as photoshoping or playing guitar) and sometimes i login to see how my guild's going.I think that you become addicted only if you let the game addict you...I see the game only as such and i can exit it whenever i want...or maybe i'm not addicted because my WoW runs on 2 FPS...
I quit about 4 weeks ago. Sold all equipment, deleted all characters. Removed game off my Mac and WoW-related websites from my Safari favourites, and stopped subscription.I tip my hat to Blizz for making such an awesome game. I will miss my 80 Troll hunter and his beloved cat (tamed in Barrens at lvl 13). Will regret not quite reaching 80 on my 56 mage, created so I can Blast Wave the alliance waiting at Naxx stone. Will never forget the seamless environment, epic pvp battles in STV and the great people I met while questing and instancing. Was at Subway the other day, and the girl making my sammich was called 'Shaman'. Made me think of WoW and recall all the great times I had!WoW is one of the greatest games I've ever played, and I'm glad that I picked it up at the store 18 months ago.Though I do miss it (to an extent), I doubt that I will return. I am determined to work on things that will increase the quality of my life and leave me with tangible benefits for the future.
The gravity of Azeroth is too hard to resist.
I managed to break for four whole months. Even going so far as to say I was done with WoW.Then Cataclysm was announced, and I watched the trailer.Done with WoW . . . didn't work out so well.
Homework is always a priority, but I usually get all my HW done in class, so I have a lot of free time.
I play WoW since July 2007. In the last February my pc had some problems and I stopped with this game. Now, after six months, I'm back. And I never got sick for don't have how to play.I guees I'm strong than this guy =)
I started playing just three days ago after a two month break, which is exactly what I wanted it to be - a break. I have had every intention to come back to WoW and begin raiding again the entire time :P If you are even calling it a break, then you are obviously going to return. If you cancel your WoW account with the intention of not coming back, that's putting a STOP to it, not a break. Once you've called it a break, you already know you'll start playing again.
