I just wish ruby sanctum and the pre cat events would start!
Quite obviously this is a game. And mmo or not it wont entertain people forever. I've had friends who quit the game because the got all the enjoyment they could out of it. And i'm just gonna throw this out there. If your bored out of your skull why are you playing? Wow isnt a job its meant to entertain if you are bored take a break or play another game or both whatever works. Don't bore yourself because you feel obligated to play. As for the subject of the post, which i got off topic of, i am growing bored of icc. My guild has cleared 8 bosses and only has 6 on farm. I'm tired of clearing those six then bashing our heads against the others for hours because people cant pick up on mechanics. And the reason is likely the pre icc stuff was too easy. Toc put people off guard for icc and then it kicked them in the face. Say all you want with the "o icc was so cake" . Just finished loremaster last week so i am starting to run outta stuff to do. Guild itself is getting tired of icc i think. Sigh want cata now.
It's just summer coinciding with new patch syndrome, I bet. I think the interest will come back once the new expansion is released, same as it was the last two times.WotLK did drag on a bit, as well, but only a little, and I don't feel like the content was any worse. If anything, it was a little better.
"Editorial" in the Wowhead context means "ArgentSun writes a QQ post about World of Warcraft."Basically you wrote a post that said "I burned through a ton of content and now I don't feel like playing for a while. It's all Blizzard's fault!"Additionally, seems as though a guy who writes for Wowhead would be aware that Ruby Sanctum will be a new raid containing four bosses, not one. There's no "Golden Age" of Wrath of the Lich King. It's a game. It's a compelling, interesting game with a rich story and deep teamwork elements. Did you consider the possibility that your boredom with the content at this point reflects a shift in mentality on your part?
All I hear is a bunch of hardcores talking about how the game isn't exciting for them anymore. I'm a casual player, as are millions of other players. WotLK still has plenty to offer me. If you want to have your cake, you can't eat it too.
mhm cake
I played WoW since Apr 2005, and finally ending the adventure Apr 2010. Yes there are seemingly endless aspects to the game to explore. But eventually you have to ask yourself, are you going anywhere?Building a mud-buggy is great fun. Driving it into a mud pit and spinning your tires is great fun. But eventually you can only get so much fun out of slinging mud with your tires. I feel as if WoW lost its primordial path long ago. BC was a departure, WotLK attempted to return it, but as the saying goes, "You can never return to the same river."The game has become massive and open. Not that I mind, the bigger the market share, the bigger their profit, the bigger my stock investment in them grows. But as a player, it just seems as if it became too mechanical. Too interchangeable and assembly line. Perhaps this is just my development outside the game but it definitely seems as if the "Golden Age" for WotLK is over. I'd say it was over with the first kill of the LK.
A MMO is only dead for these that want it dead (for themselves).Until you've done everything the game is not really dead for you. Doing everything might be repetitive, dull or boring. Still, there's the option to do these things. Also I doubt all the people sayign wotlk is dead is wearing already full 277 igear items (either pve or pvp... or both :))
I think a lot of you misunderstood me :) I am mostly bored of the game, so I am not playing it very much. Log in every now and then, do a couple of dailies, maybe get a level on an alt, but that's rare. I am not ranting "The game is boring, but I must keep playing it!". This blog is more of a discussion-oriented one - how you are feeling about the current LK content.EDIT: After rereading the blog, I realized it was my fault. I worded it very poorly. So let me reiterate - this is not supposed to be a QQ post, regardless of what it looks like. It's a discussion.
It has. I am bored outta my mind when the raids are on lockdown.I may just have to... I can't.. noooo... just can not do it... Go... G-g-goooo o-o-out-s-s-sideeeeeee!AHHH NO NEVER!
I stopped playing around May last year. Just got back and I'm actually enjoying all the new updates. Mostly Dungeon Finder. Hate it on my DPS but gotta love it on my Tank. I bet I can put my mouse over it and there is a group ready for me to enter. But questing, is just so boring to me. I wish there was a way to make hella money without playing the AH, Professions, or questing. I can probably get into farming or something. With skinning, I can maybe make decent money. I just never enjoyed trying to make money because it takes me so long just to earn 1k then I spend it in like a day. Sometimes on stuff I don't even need.
WTB GUILD WARS 2!:Dps- check this out for a breath of fresh air regarding content
