Nice work! But I'm sad to see you skipped all the fight club references in the Brawlers guild achievements :(Edit: Oopsie! You put it under literature rather than movie, no wonder I missed it ^^''
Dammit. And there was me thinking Better Levelling Through Chemistry was a reference to Fatboy Slim's first album, "Better Living Through Chemistry," which was released in about '96. Ah well, thanks for the list, nice to know where these all came from :)
Pfff, what an extensive list! Kudos! I seriously wonder how long it took you guys to find all those. Just a few tweaks to suggest:Jack of All Trades: you're missing Master of All, the follow-up achievement which refers to the rest of the saying (jack of all trades / master of none / is oft times better / than master of one) and is the one for all professions - JoaT is only for five of them.Last time I checked, the Leaning Tower in Pisa, the Burning Man, and the Old Faithful geyser aren't related to food. Maybe you meant to create a 'geographical locations' category and forgot the header? ;)Must Love Dogs/Have Keg, Will Travel: these aren't necessarily references to a book and television series respectively. In personal ads, sentences such as these are very common (must love cats/dogs; have car, will travel) and books/series with such names will most likely be a reference to those ads themselves.Hallowed Be Thy Name: this is the second line in the Lord's Prayer, so I'd chuck this under religion rather than music (much as I love Iron Maiden, I really think they're not the original reference here, haha).
You missed one under Popular Sayings and Proverbs. Holiday Bromance
Took a look at the food/landmark header, a few other achievements were hidden by the code that hid the header :)
Yah I'd have to agree that some of this might be a bit far fetched as references (salt and peppar especially since it's more likely a reference to how there's one dark and one light valkyr yet they still come together yust like salt n peppar). Still a really nice list and a good read, looking forward to the one on NPCs...betting that one will take a bit of compiling though =p
There is an Achievement missing on the "Music" part, Wrecking Ball from Miley Cyrus.
I am just saying I am really looking forward to the explanation of Camelraderie, that is all :P
Wrecking Ball as in "Wrecking Balling", when you surround the enemy's spawn in a BG and kill them before they have a chance to fight back.
You missed an obvious one for Dragon Ball Z... It's Over Nine Thousand!EDIT: Looks like someone beat me to it :)
I love these lists.Do you guys think He feeds on your tears is a community reference?
Wanderers, Dreamers, and You Is a reference to the song "Rainbow Connection" preformed by Kermit the Frog originally from The Muppet Movie. Really fits the nature of the Wanderer's Festival as well.
Mark "S" Boomstick is a reference to Army of Darkness. Even the mats are a reference to dialogue about his boomstick.
Also I don't know if it has been mentioned but the quest flower power on the same chain as the plants vs zombies reference. Wouldnt that be referring to super mario brothers and getting a fire flower:P.
I always thought that Everyday I'm Pand-a-ren is a reference to the song Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO which is the source of the pandaren male dance and features the line Everyday I'm Shufflin'.
