Ah, thank you. That clears up a lot of things for me.
would love to try it in beta
I wonder if the rewards are worth the amount of time and gold necessary to build them. Is it possible to level to 100 without a garrison and then go and build what you might need after getting to 100? I might want to complete all the quests but not spend the gold until I decide what is beneficial. If they are so expensive why waste the money for something that I might regret. I'm stingy with gold that is hard to get and have leveled several characters with the sole purpose of developing professions necessary to build what I need. It would be nice to be able to make the materials for the garrisons from existing professions or perhaps a few new ones.
I'm waiting to see if changing choices at 100 still opens the ajoined questlines and followers. Such as Arsenal vs. Arcane Sanctum. If I choose one, and get the questline completed with an applicable follower, will I be able to change it at 100 and do the alternate questline and unlock the other follower?Likewise, would doing so also deactivate or remove the first follower from the garrison to make way for the other? This would be a big factor for me with that OCD completionist side.
Can't wait for Warlords of Draenor, i suspect i will grind to 100 in like 3 days, no sleep
cant wait to play wod going to be awesome i just hope i can take my time to enjoy the game i always make it a job instead of just playing any way cheers.
I cant wait!
I have to say I really like this garrison guide, am gonna use it to level up rather than questing, in MoP I leveled up with mining basically, since its 90% ally on my server and I'm horde, I prefer to keep to myself to avoid getting into violent 50 on 1 action! :PNow I know where to grind and slap mobs for xp and rep that I will need at 100! Whooo! Planning may begin! ^_^ thx guys!
this guide is really informative,so when i get to actually play the expansion i wont be running round like a headless chicken, thanks for clearing a lot up for me.
You will be able to swap garrison outposts at Level 100.
I think it should be Talador lvl 94 and Spires of Arak lvl 96, not the other way around... considering zone's lvl (Talador 94-96 and Spires 96-98); also the starting quests fot the outposts that are linked in the article seemed to indicate the same. Also, this is important because you can unlock lvl 2 garrison buildings earlier via outposts:Requirement for all small buildings: http://i.imgur.com/LsEWom2.pngRequirement for all medium buildings: http://i.imgur.com/DfuBGQ2.pngRequirement for all large buildings: http://i.imgur.com/TPp0JDS.pngLvl 2 guaranteed buildings you can unlock right away you have the lvl 1: Excavation lvl 92, Fishing lvl 94, Herb Garden lvl 96 and Menagerie lvl 98 http://i.imgur.com/WL4FewW.png(All lvl 2 plans are sold by the Blueprints Vendor near the Architect Table in your garrison.)
Waaait! So choices in Spires are between cool toys and some useful stuff, and... 20% exp buff? Easy choice.
Yes, the buildings in your Garrison and your outposts are independent.
To the OP:First of all, thanks very much for this guide! The links for "Unlocking your outpost" for Gorgrond and Talador actually link to the Spires of Arak section. I assume you just copy-pasted the ToC and forgot to update the links. Wanted to bring it to your attention--It looks like most of the other links are fine. Do you think maybe you could put the different zones into tabs instead of one long scrolling post? It would clean it up and make it a bit more accessible! Just a thought ^_^Also, could you put them in order of level? Nitpicky, but will make the guide more user-friendly.Thanks again!Savannah
The smuggling run option is so much better than the brewery option beacuse of the Crate of Stolen Resources which gives hundreds of garisson resources a day.
Where do I change my outpost? I chose Brewery over smuggling run which is obviously a huge mistake in hindsight given that I need the garisson resources. So how do I change it?
