I'm glad they extended it because of their mistake. They don't usually do that. But why does this snag keep happening? Blizzard consistently has this 'Oops it ended a few hours before we expected' problem. I do my event stuff WAY ahead because of this issue and it is really annoying. This shouldn't be as persistent of an issue as it is.
People had an entire month to get this achievement. I get why they would extend it, but come on. If you couldn't find at least 5 hours out of the 32 days it was available, that's just silly.

I intended to do it last weekend, then lost power. I'm very glad it's been extended!\r\rI realize it was my fault for waiting too long, but it would have been done except for the stupid windstorm!

If you couldn't find at least 5 hours out of the 32 days it was available, that's just silly.\rI was traveling for 2 weeks out of the 4, and had absolutely zero free time to do anything but work on a very important university project for another week and a half. The friend I did it with was in a similar boat. We ended up managing to finally find the time the last Sunday evening before it ended. Almost put it off to Monday, but we weren't sure when exactly it was ending and didn't want to risk it. (We started doing it around 11:30pm so you can imagine when we finished.)\r\rThere are a myriad reasons why someone might end up only being able to do an event at the very last moment, and then get caught out by it ending sooner than advertised. &*!@ happens. I'm glad they extended it.
Looks like they wanted more people to install that game
Looks like they wanted more people to install that game\r\rThis.\r\rHots is a terrible game. A wow mount and a booster pack won't fix this.

I don't really play HOTS, but if its free and I get stuff for my other game I do play then great! :)\r\rI welcome more cool things like this to try out the other offerings by Blizzard.

Agreed. I can't really stand MOBAs in general, but I really enjoy HotS
HotS is a MOBA that depends on skill over items (LoL and DotA with tiems can have one stronger than another easily) where everyone is basically on same level.\r\rThey chose not to make a LoL\/dota clone and they made an enjoyable game.
HotS is a really good game, as someone else said, and I second it, I don't really like Moba's and HotS is the only one I have found to be really good. Maybe its the whole team leveling, no items that can easily put you ahead over everyone and carry. And if you are down in the game a little bit, it's so easy to come back as well if you win 1 team fight late game. Very skill-based.

It reminds me when you leave the 2 week archaeology quest to the last Monday and you see all the other people Surveying, a strange kinship with procrastinating strangers.
Epic fail Blizz, promotional stuff is supposed to be limited time and collectible.
And yet I still am waiting to get my twitch title.
Such judgmental attitudes over people caught out by this. If Blizzard says you have until X to do it, people plan or improvise their schedules accordingly, and if it ends early, that's Blizzard's fault, and they are right to extend it. It's none of your business if someone else waited to do it at the last minute (whether for "legitimate" reasons or otherwise). Anyway, it's a game, not a master's thesis, so procrastination is not the least bit irresponsible in this case. What do you care anyway?
Why would Wowhead remove a comment for being "non-constructive and derogatory"? Troubling.\r\rProbably because it was? Troubling is you not feeling a derogatory comment should be removed. Moderation exists for a reason.
