I still don’t understand why paladins can’t keep previous mastery and shield of the righteous while getting a 100% uptime on it. I mean dks already have that so what’s the problem?

They just moved the talents around in each talent tier...
They just moved the talents around in each talent tier...\r\rThose are the changes in the current build.\r\rThey haven't implemented any of the changes mentioned in the Blue Post yet.

We actually only use Deathstrike to heal up now, and not to cap our Bloodshield.
Community: Pls put HotP off gcd, its the only thing we ask for!\rBlizzard: Ok, lets fix everything except HotP's gcd.
Bone Shield via Marrowrend has 100% uptime. It's also 40% of Str->Armor, as opposed to SotR's 150% Str->Armor conversion rate. Not every class is the same.

We actually only use Deathstrike to heal up now, and not to cap our Bloodshield. He's talking about Bone shield. But DKs are different from paladins in that they cannot block attacks, unlike paladins. Boneshield is the trade off to DKs not having shields, as is druids getting more health and receiving bigger heals, monks getting more dodge through mastery. On top of that, our real active mitigation is death strike and blood shield (although blood shield is ridiculously undertuned, which makes it almost useless)Bone Shield via Marrowrend has 100% uptime. It's also 40% of Str->Armor, as opposed to SotR's 150% Str->Armor conversion rate. Thanks for explaining that, I wanted to say that Bone Shield is a lot less effective than Shield of the Righteous, but I didn't remember the numbers, so thanks for the info :)
Woooot, after all this time, they fixed the consecration buff bug by removing the consecration buff.
Second, Consecration is easier to work with. If you don't have to move, you have to replace it less often, and if you do have to move, you can replace it much more quickly.\rWhy can't Consecration work like the Glyph from WoD where it pulses out from the Paladin?
I don't understand the movement of talents in the same row... like it literally does nothing. Just a waste of time moving them.
I don't understand the movement of talents in the same row... like it literally does nothing. Just a waste of time moving them.\r\rIIRC - the talents are placed in an order that gives each column a theme as well. For example, all the left talents are passives or all right talents are AoE. I remember one developer interview saying this was a goal, but there's some that don't follow this. I specifically remember them giving an example that if you just hit cap on a new class you could just pick all the left talents to give you a simplier basic rotation while maybe not being optimal.\r\rSo if they're continuing this into BfA, it explains why they shift them around in rows.
Community: Pls put HotP off gcd, its the only thing we ask for!\rBlizzard: Ok, lets fix everything except HotP's gcd.\r\rThey're still solid changes tho, and minimising the see-sawing health caused by uneven mitigation goes some way towards reducing the necessity for off-GCD reactive heals.\r\rStill think they should remove HotP from the GCD, but if I had to choose between the two then I'd take these changes.
Wish they would fix the lvl 100 talent row too, especially last defender is rarely picked and some more exciting talent could take its place.
"Consecration no longer buffs Shield of the Righteous and Light of the Protector"\rT_T\rNoooo, ma LoPbuff.\rDamn.\rI'll miss that.
last defender is so good though for a passive talent

The link needs to be updated :)It's linking to an NPC Priest Spell - Священный оплотInstead of the Paladin Mastery - Искусность: священный оплот
Good thing paladins are better skilled in shields than warriors.
Bone Shield via Marrowrend has 100% uptime. It's also 40% of Str->Armor, as opposed to SotR's 150% Str->Armor conversion rate. Not every class is the same. This is the problem though. A Prot Paladin has extremely good active mitigation, but when it's down, they get gibbed because they don't have ANY mitigation aside from CDs.Sure, not every class needs to be the same. But when you have only ONE tank that CANNOT tank outside of active mitigation or major CDs, there's a problem. It's pretty clear you haven't grasped that issue.
