I think if they gave us the Executioner's Precision trait back, perhaps baked into Execute, that phase would feel a lot better.

The extreme between mastery being our best to now our worst, has made this transition from Legion to BfA pre-patch a rough one. TtK is a lot higher overall in my experience, guess that's what we get for saving the world from Sargeras' sword?
It certainly feels pretty god damn awful at times in current tier raids, especially when you're stuck with mastery on every piece of gear at the moment. Really wish they would have done something different with the new mastery for BFA, and to make it a bit faster paced. I can't imagine why anyone would prefer such a slow boring spec.
Wish they'd take Sweeping Strikes off the GCD. Feels so awful
How about Mastery also reducing CS's cooldown?Agreed though. Arms feels...lamer. Can't really build up power to blast things like before, not without using the 100 talent choice. Not getting CS resets is dull. Weighting so much of the class onto Overpower as a random damage button is dull. Deep Wounds is unpleasantly arbitrary. It's like Arms is the new version of the Shaman's Enhancement spec: do a basic uninteresting rotation and hope for random procs. More Slam, wooooooo-hoooooo.I'll admit my grasp of the Arms meta is weak at best because the numerous nerfs during and what's coming in BfA have come (presumably) from unfair competitive advantages and I don't get it while Fury is, of course, getting stronger. Amazing.Oh, and Arms doesn't get Battle Cry\/Recklessness any more. I'm sorry WHAT? Isn't a perfectly timed, enemy-obliterating series of power strikes the entire theme of Arms? Arms doesn't feel kinetic or dynamic. It feels awkward and abitrary. It feels like the vagabond spec constantly second best to Fury in everything, yet another change in BfA apparently coming from a place of fundamental confusion; a sense of what shouldn't be instead of what should.
Oh and Fury's getting Siegebreaker the 15% damage multiplier ability. You know, like Colossus Smash but on a shorter cooldown.FFS Blizz! Wasn't the entire theme of BfA "emphasizing class\/spec differences"! What IS this bull%^&*!

It feels GREAT to me except it needs recklessness (or another major crit source, there's options with trinkets and so on in BFA) back and Blizzard making it fury only is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Fact of the matter is that Arms IS the superior damage dealing spec as of right now. Because get this, it deals MORE damage. At lvl 120 too. I don't even know wtf you're talking about tbh because I've been on beta for months and the only good thing to come out for fury is a "good feeling" spec that die hard "I only play fury and nothing else" type warriors seem to enjoy. Fact is that arms is in a great competitive spot and fury still hits like a wet noodle by comparison.
No, actually, it doesn't. I've been playing all of Legion with Arms and was almost always top DPS. Now? I'm getting one-shotted and CC'd in War Mode, unable to defend myself because as I'm CC'd repeatedly, I can't get rage. If I can't get rage and get a second CC on me after using the medallion, then I die. Why? Lack of everything that made the spec good.\rI'm also bottom DPS now in LFR ffs with the other Arms, eith Fury only being a few spots higher, by maybe two or three spots. Did I mention I was ilvl 941 before all this? No? I should have. Because a previously 941 turned 218 should still be doing more DPS than a Fury at 200.
The extreme between mastery being our best to now our worst, has made this transition from Legion to BfA pre-patch a rough one.\rTips: Change all of your enchants that you can and gems if you have them to crit. Consider using Sephuz. You want crit\/haste and you can probably get more haste easily than crit but you gotta do what you gotta do to make it work. I know it's slightly awkward without a fair amount of crit that but this is far from the worst transition ever (remember Cataclysm pre patch? HELLO) and if you're still raiding instead of anything but that right now I don't know what to tell you but in a couple weeks here you're gonna have a ton of fun smashing through leveling zones with your leggo shoulders\/legs heroic leap\/c smash spam build leaving everyone else in the dust and arms scales incredibly well at max level where you'll have no issues getting the right kind of gear.
\rBlahblahwhatever\r\r\rHey, that was easy.\r\rI've been playing Arms since Maraudon was new content and it's had it's glory days but it's gimp now. \r\rWorse, it's boring and since I'm way passed the days when the DPS meter informed my self worth that "honor" I'll comfortably secede to Fury. \r\rEnjoy being FotM and when that passes you can come back and crow about how great it is to be Fury instead.

I was wrecking fools then, and I am still wrecking fools albeit I can't quite 1v5 people like before I'm not shocked that a lower geared warrior is getting owned in world pvp. No offense but 941 wasn't good before, you know that right? That was a whole tier of content lower than people who were geared out in Antorus Raid Gear\/current m+ weekly loot. Also, if you suck you're not going to do more dps than a slightly less geared fury warrior. If you're having rage starve issues try taking deadly calm instead of whining about how a less geared fury warrior owned you hard because you had no rage. Clearly you got some rage in you.
\r it's boring \rWell that's like your opinion man.

Even Op classes like Retri paladins

Fury is fine but arms is the superior spec. neither one of them is particularly bad but if you are about min\/max arms simply is ahead and get this, it is in large part because of it's mastery. Unlike fury arms can still do dmg without having to actively press a button and it does result in arms scaling a lot better early on than fury. Aoe c-smash and sweeping strikes on top of that JUICY mastery also results in superior aoe so it's got it beat there, and because anger management is just so good with the massacre build it's got fury beat in execute phase because with the right set up you are swimming in rage and can c smash like twice in a 30 second dps window. Also can stack azurite traits that turn c smash itself into a rage generator.
\r\rI'm on beta have been for months. Fury is fine but arms is the superior spec.\r\rThat's why i am still playing Arms, in hope that on 120 it will all go back to Arms :) \rBut right now, in prepatch Fury is way to go for PVE and arms for PVP, that's my opinion.

You kinda have to run a jury rigged set up to get enough crit to make arms feel good right now.
It's so slow. SO. SLOW. You MS and have nothing to do.\r\rHard pass.
It's so slow. SO. SLOW. You MS and have nothing to do.Hard pass.If you have nothing to do in the under 5 second window your mortal strike is on cd, you're undergeared (or otherwise sub optimally geared) and have like no haste and probably haven't optimally talented on top of it. Hard pass all you want. This "ARMS IS SO SLOW" meme is the stupidest thing to come out of this community in a while. Legion arms might have felt "faster" with tactician procs but HIT LIKE A WET NODDLE outside of recklessness and you mostly literally did nothing but spam the same two buttons. So if under 5 seconds for a mortal strike cd is "too slow" despite you totally having other things to do like stack overpowers, you might need need to re-evaluate your life. No it is not slower than Legion arms. If played right tt deals substantially more dmg faster and there's quite a lot more to it than spamming mortal strike\/c smash and filling it in with slam when you got nothing else to do.If you don't like it, fine, no issue with that and you don't have to like it. But if you're bad at it, that can be fixed and you not liking it for being bad at it isn't the same thing as poorly describing what it even is. Even if this is "slow" by comparison it's objectively better than the dumbest spec of all time that was Legion Arms. For Christ sake, even with 19k+ mastery on my gear I actually often had to press many more buttons than now to actually kill things.Look, I'm not without my own criticisms of the spec, for one deep wounds should probably be applied by all of our attacks and mastery should probably also directly increase (only slightly) the damage of our main abilities (i.e. mortal strike, execute and bladestorm) but some of you are just taking it way too far. I and many warriors actually completely detested Legion arms and everything about it. It was seen by many to be the absolute worst time for the spec in the entirety of the game because it was too rng reliant and otherwise because it was boring and it was utterly mindless no matter how geared you were, and you had very little options in terms of how you could build, only improving slightly in a pvp setting setting. Most die-hard old school arms warriors are very happy to see it going back to an iteration that is more like what arms was like from vanilla-wotlk. Feedback on beta has mostly been very positive, with few exceptions. The only people (for the most part) that I have seen just utterly hating on it are relative noobs to the game (i.e. cata and mop babies) who never liked arms in the first place or people who would just prefer Blizzard to focus on fury as the end-all, be-all pve spec.I do not believe for one second that the people who wrote this opinion piece are unbiased.
