For me, personally, the economy is dead. Why? It is nearly impossible to access the guild bank - In a good day, it takes 6-7 seconds to deposit/withdraw an item. Yesterday, it was taking 45 seconds. The auction house is equally broken. This not something new. It was bad in Legion, but now it is ten time worse.I have tried everything suggested, to no avail. It is clearly a Blizzard issue, but they have chosen to ignore it. They do not even acknowledge it.So what good it does for me to have bags full of materials that I can't deposit to the Guild Bank (One man guild) or sell at the AH?Argent Dawn EU
wrist-wringing about the economy less than a week into a new xpac is pointless. Millions of players have returned (and will soon leave) to check out the new content, they are leveling up, gathering mats, maybe crafting a piece or two, etc. Give it a month and it'll be a whole different ballgame. Regarding the AH, there should for sure be penalties and restrictions in place to prevent nonstop auction cancellations and repostings. You should for sure be able to cancel an auction or two in a short period of time if you, say, accidentally post up a stack instead of a single item, accidentally put in the wrong price, or change your mind and decide you no longer want to sell it, but then you have an account wide freeze on canceling anything else for, say, a number of hours (4? 8? 12?). If you mess up more than that, sorry charlie, that's on you. Be more careful next time.Sucks it would have to come to this, but let's face it, the current system is flawed and abused. Also, maybe it shouldn't be possible to undercut the current high selling price on an item by 10%. If you are desperate to sell something cheaper and quicker, the trade chat is there for you. Surely there are flaws in my logic and ideas as well, but I think it would be a step in the right direction. All players should have an equal selling opportunity, whether they work 80 hours a week and can only log in to wow once every couple days, to people camping the AH 18 hours a day. Canceling and reposting frequently to be the lowest price should not be influencing the economy. It should be based purely on supply and demand, with 10% wiggle room (discounts happen in a real economy).
Lol so many people in denial in here. There's are frankly very few items of value that crafters can even make right now. Yes some people will buy your boes so they can instantly queue heroics, problem? They were going for 10k a piece day 1 and now even on small servers there's so many people making them the prices have dropped 90% or more.
