<It can also be difficult for new players to learn dozens of specs, each with different rotations, talents, cooldowns, etc.No, this was one of the best things I found about legion, learning all 36 specs for the mage tower. Before legion (mop and wod), I had only played a 2 classes.
>But that's high end content after doing effectively three expansions. You're not really a 'new' player at that point. No new player was gonna jump straight to the mage tower.By that logic, no new player is going to have 12 classes, so they wont be affected at all.New players dont have to play every single spec. Take me for example, I only played 2 classes for the first 2 expansions I started playing.
"...and will keep this in mind when designing future affixes."Or they could like, you know, balance the classes themselves? I dunno.
WoW doesn't need a leveling squish. Just a leveling backtrack. Restore the previous power of heirlooms, so that players who have DONE THIS BEFORE can have the "option" to bull-rush through the process at an accelerated pace. They have earned that right by leveling through the old way, some like me, have leveled through the old way MANY times. Those who love leveling, who want to continually experience the lore at a slower pace, have the option to do so...just don't equip heirlooms and just use in-game drops. This does not have to be rocket science.
Disappointing to hear about the plans for 4th specs. Homogenization has gotten ridiculous for certain classes since Legion and 4th specs could be used to fill out those who have been left behind.Consider the Hunter. They can bloodlust with a ferocity pet, solo ranged dps, pet ranged dps, pet melee dps, purge harmful effects from allies with a water strider pet, purge beneficial effects from enemies with a spirit beast pet, and they have extra stuff like water walking and slowfall. Now consider the Warrior or Rogue. They can both solo melee dps, the Warrior can tank, and the Rogue can stealth themselves and allies. That's it. It's the result of the constant pruning they've suffered and it doesn't seem fair. Even something as simple as a 20-yard ranged spec for Rogues would've lessened it.
Is the twist like the mystery of who burned down the world tree?
WoW 2.0? he really said that?I've only been playing since 4.3 but it seems more than time enough to evolve the engine.
Dear Light, don't let the plot twist be that Azshara and the naga join the Alliance. . .Or even worse, Azshara becomes Lightforged, and Lightforged Naga become a thing.
Ion once again admitting that in BFA there was flaws in many systems? I am in shock!
