Oh my god can people stop getting angry about this until AFTER we know how to cleanse items? Cleansing an item might be just a case of "do a island expedition", "do a mythic +?", "kill this specific boss". If that's the case, then this system would turn out great. Sure you wouldn't be able to equip your new items straight away, but you'd have to work to earn the reward, which is what's currently awful with Titanforging.Of course we'll still get the awkward random drop of "old god-forging", which will push people to keep farming raids and mythics after they've got their items. That's exactly why Blizzard created the titanforging system in the first place, and though I believe it's not a solution to the problem, I recognize there is a problem and it needs fixing. This in my opinion might be it. Of course Blizz could absolutely mess it up, but come on, the negative effects are OBVIOUSLY too strong to even consider equip those items without cleansing them, so much so that it has to be intentional. As I said, they could mess it up, it's Blizzard after all, but don't throw the first rock without knowing how the system works beforehand. If you heard about the mythic+ system, with the % increase in health and damage and the affixes, but you didn't know that rewards scaled and you could get great gear from it, making it easier to accomplish, you'd think the system is terrible too. So wait until we know everything about this one before judging.Edit : Oh, forgot to mention this is a damn TESTING REALM.
This whole system seems very very bad... we must be missing something.
Man it will be so much ''Fun'' when a loot you want drops but it is very corrupted and you cannot use it until you GRIND the damn resistance. So much 'fun' than Titanforge people hates for some reason.Jesus this $%^& is terrible. I mean even the smallest corruption basically makes the item UNUSABLE with those debuffs. Especially in M+ and higher raids/Pugs.Not to mention $%^&*!@s that will intentionally stack corruption to cause wipes.
Best blizzard strategy for a long time:"Do you want to make a person well? - do him bad, and then return it as it was"
So... inc addon to evaluate corruption to not invite peeps to M+ ;)Raider IO to save the day in the end... again?
People keep saying you dont have to use the pieces, but after seeing how almost every dps spec had the 425 benthic boots with just 2% crit damage bonus as a bis in Eternal Palace, it kinda forces high end players to try and get as many tier 3 crit damage corrupted pieces as possible since each tier 3 piece was like 7% crit damage.
Does corrupted zone deal damage to the group, or just yourself?
Don't forget that we will also be given many different tools to reduce our corruption. If you go straight for maximising your Corruption you'll have a bad time, but if you invest in the right places it won't affect you as harshly.
The very first effect being a snare on damage proc makes this system dead on arrival for M+ and mythic raiding. They need to rethink this entirely.
No idea why this recieves so much hate. I like it, experimenting around with how much corruption you can deal with for a raid advantage until it starts to backfire too much.Just the movement speed debuff needs a reduction, its too strong compared to the others imo.
Please don't judge early
So I guess in 8.3 we'll all be hoping NOT to get titanforge item from M+ weekly chest.
