What is really irritating me, and I usually have no issues with motion sickness, is when the camera zoom wobbles due to an obstacle coming between the character and the camera even for 1/10 of a second, such as doorways and other things hanging from the ceilings, or trees etc.
Ohw this is actually nice... I love how Blizzard is trying to help everyone play the game at the best
Camera shake is always the first thing I turn off when possible.
That's a good thing. Nice one Blizzard.
i wish they could help with falling as well i have to just look away when my character falls from any height
Oh gosh, I'm almost in tears right now. This is like a dream comming true. I can't play too much because of my motion sickness otherwise I get nausea and headaches. Thank you, Blizzard, thank you so much!
One visual trick that made me accidentally nauseous is the background of the ship in Maw of Souls. The first time I ever paid attention to it, even knowing it was just background, I legit got a little disoriented from it. Thankfully that's the only example of an issue for me. Nice to see they are doing this with other things.
Amazing how far they are going for people this xpack. So many QoL changes and additions made for those who have trouble playing for X or even Y or Z reasons. I remember how I was talking to someone who said how they hated Grimrail cause of the train. I hope this would make it slightly easier for them to do should they wish.
But will it remove the extra motion of the mounts like the Shaman elementals and the Golems? That's what hurts me most in the game.
Oh god the motion-sickness from those mounts saddles going up and down and side to side while their head and neck stay stable - like why the hell would anyone but an artistic idiot put a saddle on the part that has the most movement in the first place?
There are several mounts I never use for this very reason. I hope this will fix those too.
Wait for someone to suggest that this is somehow an advantage and complain about it.
Honestly as person who suffers severe motion sickness, this means a lot to me. Thanks, Blizzard <3
hopefully this helps, the zoom for door and such can be hard also the camera not following a character who's get a mc and such so you end up facing your character. please let us lock the camera behind our character.
The super fast zoom in when theres an obstacle (such as a lamp post) makes me feel like I broke my neck for a second.
Interedasting
I wish they would add an option to turn off drunk screen blurriness as well. I know you can mostly avoid it by not drinking, but certain fights (like in Dire Maul and Freehold) make your screen all fuzzy outside of your control, and it gives me headaches.
I didn't know this was an issue, but I'm glad to see them making the game easier to play for players that have problems.
THANK YOU. Part of why I can't play PVP worth a damn is the camera jumps in areas where there's major LoS, like inside bases and mines. It's also why I can't play any first person shooters. I have to keep my camera zoomed out to play because I get terrible vertigo otherwise. I do hope this change includes the swaying mounts like Sky Golem -- I'd love to be able to back to using it for farming without being nauseated by the motion.
