It really sucks to have to go into content that you don't like to reach a soft cap why didn't they leave it alone so that you can reach a soft cap on all content systems ( Raiding, PVP, and M+) that way nobody has to gear in a system that they don't want to. I personally don't have the time in the day working part time and going to college full time to sit and try and progress in a raid that can take up to 2 hours to get past one boss for one piece of loot where I could have taken that time and done 4 M+ dungeons and gotten much farther in my experience in addition to the opportunity for gear. Hopefully they tweak this so that you can follow your own content path and progress accordingly.
I just don't understand why they would make this change.A M+ 15 should award at least Heroic raid item level gear. It's simply harder content, to imagine that heroic raiding harder than M+ 15 is a joke. I can see why some people might argue against that with this season with all the power gains and corruption and what not, completing a M+ 15 during S4 was a joke just as much as clearing heroic raid is. But at the start of an expansion and pretty much any point pass that point Heroic Raiding is a joke for any semi-competent player and I feel like M+ 15s should give at least the equivalent of Heroic raid item level gear, because it is harder content. I think the change to give the two last bosses in a raid higher item level was a fine idea, but I just don't see why the overall M+ gearing should be lower than Heroic Raiding considering pretty much every boss in a Heroic Raid is not difficult
And here I was thinking that they could have better scaling for gear in keys that are over +15. Oh well... One less stimulation to do dungeons, I guess.
sad for players who is their main game 5man content.. or play with friends or dont have the time for raids or even dont wanna trust in a 20-30 player group... sad to cut a HUUUUUGE playerbase for their part of the game they enjoy...i liked it to have same loot as basic HC from m+ was very balanced (they could lock it in first 2-4 IDs Raid IDs and open it after world first raid startet)... or when u play twinks.. you dont wanna raid / progress raid with them.. except ur world top 500^^
when u give them ilvl in m+ .. then add HC / mythic ilvl to HIGH M+ ! what is as much challenging than mythic / CE raiding. like later for 17/18 keys HC and for 20-22 keys mythic ilvl or something like that..
Doing M+ is a fun activity you do with friends and raiding is a chore, people don't want to raid and everyone and their mothers are doing only M+ so Blizzard got forced to deny M+ rewards and make decent loot from raiding. There are 2 choices, you get forced to raid or find a different game that you enjoy as much or even more than M+ with a handful of friends.Bye bye Blizz
Dungeons in WoW are great (not TD), I honestly enjoy just running m+ not even for the reward, but just for fun. (A low chance at a mount drop is also a motivating factor, but not as much as one might think)
Started off getting heroic for 15s. Then for some reason they increased it to 5 above heroic. Then they nerfed it to slightly above normal. Hilarious lack of philosophical consistency and intelligent balancing. .Interesting that they also changed from the tradition of starting with 10 then scaling to 15 at season 2, but then nerfed quantity and quality.Instead of just nerfing it back down to heroic level, where it belongs, it's now a 20% chance at vendor trash even at max weekly key. If you do anything below that, you get hit with even more garbo items. What is the point when you can just go raid for higher chance at better loot? This is illogical. By the time you are farming 15s, you have already done heroic raid and have much better loot lol. With no forging, no corruption, normal quality loot, and low drop chances, m+ community is dead on arrival. Good luck finding groups later in the week, because there is virtually no repeatability now beyond the weekly quest. Imbecilic change designed to pamper raiders for 14 years dominated gearing. But somehow , they can't handle 4 years of raid not being the absolute best. Just like covenants, this is going to be a bad change and help make SL a bad expansion.
They can't complain about not being able to juggle between covenants for different types of content if there's only one type of content. Modern problems require modern solutions.
Mythic Raid => High-end M+ > Heroic Raid
i blame the people spam selling 5 mans, blizzard clearly doesnt like the bfa version of selling mythic plus so now its gonna be much much harder to get buyers without a class stack.
From a subscription and gold selling / wow token perspective, raid is way more lucrative / interesting for Blizzard.Raid content:- 1 time a week / timegated content => Given the fact that you wont loot your "optimal" stuff or complete your personal objective (it can be ilvl, it can be transmog, it can be mount, achievement...) the first month, you are most likely going to be "forced" to keep playing / subbing in order to achieve it.- Raid is very lucrative for blizzard in terms of real money auction house / wow token (millions gold to achieve mythic level, hundreds of thousands for HC...).- Heavily time consuming (3-4 hours 2x a week of dedicated players)To summs up => keep player subbed and encourage them to buy goldMythic + Dungeon content: - Spammable- Short when you've learned the strats- Engaging when you want to push higher keys- No or meaningless gold needed (only for repairing and maybe potions...)Now if you work for blizzard what do you choose to promote?
Besides that part with HC raid loot trade, you won't be affected. Also remove of titanforging made m+ item drops pretty much meaningless outside of "first time gearing char".That's why I was pretty happy about echoes of nyalotha drop, because you finally actually get to loot something, after completing the dungeon. I was quiet surprised, how much more fun it was to actually have something drop from that chest. It is thanks to the fact, that looting echoes made you progress your gear.
