Last time I checked I, as a warlock, was able to use Dreadsteed. Guess i'll have to retry this again.Update: It's not working anymore.
I wonder if worgen's running wild ability works as well?
The Rustbolt Resistor isn't the best comparison to use for the Corridor Creeper's functionality, as you can still fly in Mechagon without it. A better example would be the Qiraji Battle Tanks, since, aside from the Creeper not being obtained in the Maw, they parallel each other perfectly in functionality, both being used as mounts in content that otherwise doesn't allow for mounts.
This mount looks nothing like the Corridor Creeper from Hearthstone. It's really a missed opportunity.
So play a druid; I got the message loud and clear, Blizz.
It's a compromise, and I'm fine with it. It still doesn't solve the problems players think it will. Part of me wishes Blizzard would stick to their guns on keeping the player on foot, because I don't like the cries of entitlement coming from players who insist that mounting is core to enjoying the game. If a game is boring, it doesn't matter how fast it takes to get through it, it's just less time spent being bored. A mount doesn't make the game more fun. It just makes it faster. Conversations about how to make the Maw fun on its own are still warranted.
I like the idea of not being able to mount in the maw
If you wanted to timegate an endgame zone and make it look harder than it seems, it would be a better idea to tie any zone-specific buffs to the zone itself. You want to mount in Maw? Go farm rep, currency, spend time there and be rewarded with an ability to spend even more time in that zone. Grinding a separate gamemode that doesn't JUST give you a buff of sorts, like "increased mount speed while in the Maw", but outright a huge advantage, incentifies toxicity amongst those who cannot get the reward, and dissarray amongst those who can, because it either "doesn't give enough of a reward to justify the time spent" or "forces the content to be more casual, for everybody to have an opportunity to claim the reward". Not a way to go, Blizz. Give the Creeper a higher speed while in the Maw, and tie zone mount progression to a zone-specific system or just the Pathfinder. Also, restrict Druid travel form or any other pseudo-mount abilities (like Worgen running form) to unmounted running speed if you want to remove all mounts from the Maw, thank you.

*Runs past in Ghost Wolf form*"NERRRRRRRDS!"
Just make all mounts usable and problem solved. Also make zone flyable.
Not sure about this one. If Torghast is balanced and all classes have a good chance of getting the mount, fine. Likely you'll see certain specs dominating, though. This is problematic since the moment people start earning the mount, The Maw will now be significantly harder for people who don't own teh mount to farm rares in. Pretty much the same issue we saw in Nazjatar or Mechagon, though the issue was exacerbated there, since you had flying, not just a normal mount. We'll see how it works out, I guess. I just really hope this doesn't become the next thing that people just start selling carries for, it's bad enough in M+ as is.
at first they not allow us to fly, now we cant mount, what next? We couldn't run before make some travel around the azeroth on foot? This is such a BS
This seems fine, people should be able to earn useful things by putting in the effort.
