Too bad all that cash goes to shareholders rather than investment in decent salaries and retention. Or game improvement. Seems like everything in Shadowlands not recycled from earlier WoW, art assets especially, all came from Diablo III. It's starting to feel like we're wearing flour sack dresses and gluing together toilet paper cores to make window blinds, working every last possible use out of existing assets. Next we'll be making soap from our sidemeat drippings. When Activision/Blizzard realizes they may have real MMO competition on the horizon—from many of their own former employees, no less—I expect they'll move HQ and development out of California rather than simply pay better. That would be in line with how far the company has shifted from entertainment production studio to just another stockholders-first corporation that takes staff for granted and regards consumers as staff that pay for the privilege of participation.

Blizzard needs to stop being Blizzard about pay and start paying to keep top talent otherwise WoW is going to continue to suffer in depth of content. This year should show them they need more quality help in building this game.
why do people even pretend that a year or more "preorder" of a digital download is the same as day 1 sales....
